"The Badlands" is included in the new PhotoSho! This particular photo was taken during my summer road trip to the Big Muddy Badlands, located in southern Saskatchewan. 08/28/08"You've Got a Friend" 2009 Calender
My little Pixel was chosen to represent the month of January in the Regina Humane Society's 2009 calender! This is extremely fitting, since Pixel was adopted from the RHS last year. The calender will be on sale in late October.

I'm happy to announce that the September issue of PhotoLife is now on newsstands everywhere!
"Expansive Solitude" is part of the 2nd annual Emerging Photographers special and I am the only photographer from Saskatchewan to be included. As well as in print, my photo is included on the contents page and on the PhotoLife website.

06/06/08 Emerging Photographers - PhotoLife Magazine
PhotoLife magazine - Canada's biggest and number one photography magazine - holds a special contest each year for Emerging Photographers....and I was chosen for publication! There are only a handful of other Emerging Photographers this year, so I feel very lucky to be included. This special issue comes out in September 2008.

A few of my Supersampler shots will be showcased in issue 10 of Light Leaks Magazine. Light Leaks is devoted to low fidelity photography - photographs taken with toy cameras. Issue 10 is due out late July 2008.

04/04/08 2008 SaskAm Photo Competition
For this year's SaskAm, I entered "The Forgotten Prairie Giant" in the Prairie Architecture category - and I received an Honorable Mention!
It was my only entry for this year, so I'm pretty happy to have scored a placing.
Last year, I was acknowledged with a 1st in the Animals category and Best of Show for "Expansive Solitude".
I love participating in this yearly contest, there are so many talented Saskatchewan photographers! Seeing all the fantastic photos tonite has really inspired me to get out there and start shooting again.
03/05/08 Regina Photo Club Guest Speaker Invitation
I was invited to be a guest speaker for the next Regina Photo Club meeting. I will be discussing my personal journey into photography. It's really nerve-wracking to me, as I am not used to speaking publicly - especially about myself. But the club is full of great people who share the same interest and I'm sure they will make me feel comfortable and welcomed.
